About The Position
The Processing Team Member sorts donated items, identifies valuable finds and recyclable materials, prepares merchandise for the sales floor, and moves items safely and efficiently using carts. The processing team works together to care for donated items and provide customers with quality finds while supporting the organization’s community and environmental mission. The role involves working with a diverse group of coworkers and helping reduce waste by keeping recyclable items out of landfills.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Attention to detail.
- Organized and neat.
- Team player who is ready to work with a diverse group of coworkers.
- Eager to sort donations and identify valuable items.
- Able to maintain a productive pace and get a lot done each day.
Responsibilities
- Sort donated items and identify items with resale value.
- Identify recyclable items and help divert them from landfills.
- Prepare merchandise for the sales floor.
- Load and unload carts safely and efficiently.
- Work collaboratively to care for donated items and support customers and the community.
