About The Position

The VTS Processing team member efficiently processes donated goods into priced, sellable merchandise. The role supports a positive customer and donor experience, communicates the Vapor mission, sorts and evaluates donations, prices merchandise, and maintains an organized and clean workspace. The team member also participates in Vapor Ministries’ cultural development practices and assists the Retail Team with opening and closing checklists.

This position requires 16–30 hours per week, depending on need and availability. The position reports to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager. Other duties may be assigned temporarily and infrequently as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive customer and donor experience.
• Effectively share the Vapor mission with customers.
• Inspect donated items for quality and follow departmental sorting systems.
• Establish proper setup of donation and processing systems.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, evaluate merchandise quality, and use the pricing guide to price items accurately.
• Maintain an organized workspace and ensure it is clean at closing.
• Assist the Retail Team with opening and closing checklists.
• Actively participate in the Holistic Development Plan (HDP) and the One-on-One process.
• Attend the daily Huddle and understand and adhere to Vapor Ministries’ preferred culture.
