About The Position

The Team Manager is part of the Panera bakery-cafe leadership team and helps run great shifts, support team development, and maintain the standards guests expect. The role focuses on delivering excellent food and service, developing team members, and fostering a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust. The work takes place in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and requires flexible hours, including nights and weekends. A job offer is conditional on the results of a background check.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lead shifts and direct, motivate, coach, and develop others in a fast-paced environment.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 6 hours.
• Ability to communicate clearly and quickly understand guests’ and associates’ directions in a loud environment.
• Any job offer is conditional upon the results of a background check.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of restaurant management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests are delighted by the quality of food, service, and staff.
• Build engaging relationships that encourage long-term guest loyalty.
• Lead, manage, coach, motivate, and develop team members to exceed goals for sales, speed, order accuracy, and guest experience; celebrate their achievements.
• Participate in interviewing and selecting team members.
• Train the team in food safety standards and ensure those standards are maintained.
• Help build a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust.
