About The Position

As a Team Manager at Panera, you’ll be part of the bakery-cafe’s leadership team, helping run great shifts, support team development, and maintain the high standards guests expect. You will help create a welcoming culture and deliver a positive guest experience while supporting the bakery-cafe’s daily operations. The role requires flexible hours, including nights and weekends, in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Any job offer is conditional upon the results of a background check.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Proven ability to lead shifts and direct, motivate, coach, and develop others in a fast-paced environment.
• ServSafe certification, or ability to achieve certification.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 6 hours.
• Ability to communicate clearly and quickly understand directions from guests and associates in a loud environment.
• Flexible availability, including nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of restaurant management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests are delighted by the quality of the food, service, and staff.
• Build engaging relationships that lead to long-term, loyal guests.
• Lead, manage, and develop team members by coaching, inspiring, and motivating them to exceed goals in sales, speed, order accuracy, and guest experience; celebrate their achievements.
• Participate in interviewing and selecting team members.
• Train the team in food safety standards and ensure those standards are maintained.
• Help build a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust.
