About The Position

As a Team Manager at Panera, you’ll be part of the bakery-cafe’s leadership team, helping run great shifts, support team development, and maintain the high standards guests expect. You’ll help create a welcoming experience for guests and team members while contributing to the cafe’s sales, service, and operational goals. The role requires flexible hours, including nights and weekends, in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. A job offer is conditional upon the results of a background check.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Proven ability to lead shifts and direct, motivate, coach, and develop others in a fast-paced environment.
ServSafe certification or ability to obtain certification.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 25 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk for up to 6 hours.
Ability to communicate clearly and quickly understand directions from guests and associates in a loud environment.
Availability for flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of restaurant management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure guests are delighted by the quality of the food, service, and staff.
Build engaging relationships that encourage long-term guest loyalty.
Lead, manage, and develop team members through coaching, inspiration, and motivation to exceed goals for sales, speed, order accuracy, and guest experience; recognize their achievements.
Participate in interviewing and selecting team members.
Train the team in food safety standards and ensure those standards are maintained.
Help build a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust.
