About The Position

We are looking for a highly engaged, problem solving, challenge seeking, innovative, disciplined, future oriented, enthusiastic, optimistic, and community minded person to lead our 2nd shift Grading Team Members. The ideal candidate is willing to take initiative, lead others to meet goals, and improve their skills in leadership, communication, and production processing.

Requirements

• Prior supervisory and manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
• An online assessment will be required of all candidates
• Select candidates will take part in Columbia Forest Products Leadership Qualification Program (LQP)
• Receive on-the-job training
• Take part in learning-based events as they transition into the leadership role

Responsibilities

• Assign and direct work of all team members
• Train and develop each team member to standard using Job-Instruction-Training (JI) methods
• Serve as leadership in the front-line operation of a Lean Daily Management System (DMS)
• Monitor the work performance of each team member and provide strong coaching and mentoring
• Data entry and analysis
• Record keeping
• Developmental counseling of Team Members
• Successful completion of the Leadership Qualification Program, Job Relations (JR), and Job Instruction (JI) is required
• Other trainings and tasks will be added as needed
