About The Position

The Team Leader supervises store personnel during assigned shifts and helps ensure the store meets operational standards. The role includes opening and/or closing the store as the key holder on duty, developing and coaching team members, supporting customer and donor service, and performing or assisting with store personnel functions. The Team Leader follows agency policies, retail standard operating procedures, and safety and security requirements; maintains store appearance, records, and reports; and attends required meetings and training. The position may require transfer to any Goodwill of North Georgia store within the territory as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Two to three years of retail experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
Certification and license to operate a forklift.
Dependable transportation and an electronic communication device.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Must begin employment wearing acceptable safety work shoes.
Ability to adapt to growth and a changing environment within the agency.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or completion of related retail management coursework.
Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

Supervise store personnel during assigned shifts to ensure operational standards are met.
Open and/or close the store as the key holder or Team Leader on duty.
Develop, train, coach, and support team members for career growth within the organization.
Comply with agency policies, Donated Goods Retail standard operating procedures, and safety and security policies and procedures.
Adhere to the task outline for the job being supervised and performed.
Greet and assist donors and customers, ensuring customer needs are met and service is efficient and effective.
Assist with and resolve complaints, and communicate complaints and issues to the management team.
Maintain proficiency in tasks required at all workstations.
Monitor and maintain the store's appearance and housekeeping to agency standards.
Perform and assist with all functions completed by store personnel.
Help maintain company records and reports accurately and on time.
Attend meetings and training as required by the agency.
Transfer to any Goodwill of North Georgia store within the territory as needed or required.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
