About The Position
The 2nd Shift Team Leader leads other team leaders and assists with managing operational issues to ensure effective and efficient product flow. The role supports Lean-related activities, employee safety, quality, troubleshooting, and coordination across teams and departments. This is an on-site position five days per week and is designated as safety sensitive.
Requirements
- Ability to lead others and influence behavior.
- Ability to perform the work performed by employees under the role's supervision.
- Ability to solve problems, provide feedback, and coach others.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Lead MDI board meetings and other Lean-related activities.
- Assign work schedules and coordinate overtime.
- Ensure employee safety and adherence to EHS requirements.
- Monitor product and work quality.
- Troubleshoot simple machine, process, product, or employee issues.
- Lead and train team leaders and provide feedback and coaching.
- Communicate frequently with team members, supervisors, other departments, and plant leaders.
- Coach other team leaders.
