About The Position

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations within a temperature-controlled warehouse environment, ensuring efficient workflow, safety compliance, and team productivity. This role involves supervising warehouse staff, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring all activities meet company standards and regulatory requirements—particularly those related to cold storage conditions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in cold storage or food distribution
1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience
Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to lead

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree
Food safety knowledge (SQF, HACCP, GDPs)
Experience in high-volume distribution centers
Familiarity with cold chain logistics

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise warehouse associates in a temperature-controlled environment
Coordinate daily operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping
Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA and other regulatory guidelines
Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, training, and support
Maintain accurate inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS)
Conduct cycle counts and assists with inventory audits as required or directed
Ensure proper product rotation (FEFO) and temperature integrity
Oversee equipment usage (forklifts, pallet jacks) and ensure proper maintenance
Communicate effectively with management, logistics teams, customers, and drivers
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement process improvements
Enforce cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
