About The Position

Jefferson Southern Corporation (JSC) is a Tier One automotive supplier that produces and sells parts ready for installation in automobiles. These parts are stamped from steel and then welded, forming crucial components of the vehicle's "white body" or interior shell. While not highly visible, these parts are vital for the car's strength, safety, and performance. This role is for the 2nd shift.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent
Basic written communication skills
Good problem-solving skills
Good verbal and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

Prior knowledge of production processes preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality of associate performance and other management-directed information.
Ensure new associates receive adequate training before working independently.
Collaborate with quality associates to prevent the shipment of substandard parts.
Investigate and resolve inventory issues.
Oversee equipment maintenance, including daily checks and bi-weekly threader replacements for driver checks.
Learn all jobs in the assigned work area and operate lines when necessary.
Complete all required documentation for the area's operations.
Drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, productivity, and delivery.
Provide continuous support to all associates.
Ensure daily production needs are met to satisfy customer demands and communicate requirements.
Maintain clear communication with customers regarding mutual expectations.
Take personal responsibility and accountability for correcting customer-service problems.
Ensure all associates are trained and follow proper labeling procedures.
Perform other duties as required by management.
