To coach associates to meet quality, cost, delivery, morale, and safety (QCDMS) targets in compliance with the quality policy and continuously working for associate’s success. This role directly supervises departmental line keepers and associates within respective areas. It requires teamwork and participation in company activities such as IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001 and Employee Involvement. The position requires effective communication with team members and internal departments and related outside resources in both written and oral format. The Team Leader must understand, comply and consistently apply company policies and procedures fairly to all employees. They must update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintain 5’s standards, including good housekeeping. The role may require some travel, shift work, and overtime to support the area of responsibility as needed. The Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the establishment of production goals within their respective area and making recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations through continual improvement. They will assist with the company management style in a manner that promotes ownership by all associates and act as a key member of Employee Involvement with the promotion of good morale, pride, and ethics throughout DMNC.
