To coach associates to meet quality, cost, delivery, morale, and safety (QCDMS) targets in compliance with the quality policy and continuously working for associate’s success. This role involves coordinating production, troubleshooting machine problems, conducting daily start-up meetings, monitoring production, verifying quality, training associates, maintaining reports, and ensuring documentation is up-to-date. The Team Leader will also establish operator instructions, communicate effectively with all levels, perform preventative maintenance, implement kaizens using the PDCA method, complete daily log books, review timecards, and make recommendations for operational improvements. Additionally, the role supports the company management style to promote ownership and acts as a key member of Employee Involvement, promoting morale, pride, and ethics. The Team Leader directly supervises departmental line keepers and associates.
