About The Position

This is a Safety Sensitive position. The Team Leader for Product Returns is responsible for receiving various types of merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory counts, assembling merchandise, and maintaining a safe work environment. The role involves direct interaction with team members and customers, as well as training new employees. The position requires a strong understanding of merchandise handling and safety procedures.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in a distribution center required.
Knowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Receive delivery trucks, returns, work orders from the loading dock, inter-store transfers, repossessions, and mattresses.
Place merchandise in the proper area with the correct tag/label.
Label and scan all merchandise properly with scan guns to ensure an accurate inventory count.
Check daily assignments and responsibilities.
Assemble merchandise.
Scan merchandise from various locations (7as-is, 8 floor, 9 floor, 9as-is, inspect, and as-is to Red Desk, Deliveries, Inspect, and Cages).
Report any disciplinary issues to the immediate supervisor.
Assist with training of new employees in the area.
Ensure a safe work environment.
Provide direction to Product Returns.
Use excellent customer relations with both external and internal customers.
Perform any other duties as directed by management.
