About The Position

3rdGen Logistics is seeking an OTR CDL Driver for a safety-sensitive position. This role involves pre-inspecting trucks, planning routes, meeting delivery times, and maintaining accurate documentation of all shipments. The driver will be responsible for transporting loads to their destinations on time and gaining knowledge of merchandise and documents used in store-to-store transfers and third-party shipments. Excellent customer relations are expected, along with performing other duties as directed by management.

Requirements

Valid CDL-A required.
Must be 21 years of age with no more than 2 traffic violations and/or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years.
Knowledge of safe operation of a heavy truck and knowledge of Federal, State, and local motor vehicle safety laws.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Positive attitude when working with customers.
Knowledge of employment, merchandise handling procedures, and safety procedures.
Drug test is required for the position.

Responsibilities

Pre-inspection of truck before departure.
Planning routes and meeting delivery times.
Maintaining accurate documentation of all shipments.
Driving loads to their destination by the time outlined by 3RDGEN Logistics.
Quickly gain knowledge of merchandise and documents used in store-to-store transfer process, as well as third party shipments of loads.
Check daily assignments and responsibilities.
Use excellent customer relations with both internal and external customers.
Perform any other duties as directed by management.
