About The Position

This is a Safety Sensitive position. The Team Leader will be responsible for receiving delivery trucks, returns, work orders, inter-store transfers, repossessions, and mattresses. They will place merchandise in the proper area with the correct tag/label, quickly gain knowledge of merchandise, and ensure all merchandise is labeled and scanned properly for accurate inventory counts. The role involves checking daily assignments, assembling merchandise, scanning various types of merchandise, reporting disciplinary issues to a supervisor, assisting with training new employees, ensuring a safe work environment, providing direction to Product Returns, and maintaining excellent customer relations. The Team Leader will also perform other duties as directed by management.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with team members.

Ability to work in a face paced environment.
Previous experience in distribution center required.
Knowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Receive delivery trucks, returns, work orders from the loading dock, inter-store transfers, repossessions, and mattresses.
Place merchandise in proper area with the correct tag/label.
Quickly gain knowledge of merchandise.
Label and scan all merchandise properly with scan guns to ensure an accurate inventory count.
Check daily assignments and responsibilities.
Assemble merchandise.
Scan merchandise from 7as-is, 8 floor, 9 floor, 9as-is, inspect, and as-is to Red Desk, Deliveries, Inspect, and Cages.
Reporting any disciplinary issues to immediate supervisor.
Assisting with training of new employees in the area.
Ensuring a safe work environment.
Providing direction to Product Returns.
Use excellent customer relations with both external and internal customers.
Perform any other duties as directed by management.
