About The Position

Eliot’s Homeless Services Division is seeking a Team Leader to work in our Tenancy Preservation Program (TPP). This homelessness prevention initiative works directly with individuals and families with disabilities who are facing eviction due to behaviors related to their disability. Acting as a neutral liaison alongside the Massachusetts Housing Court, landlords, and community service providers, TPP assesses the root causes of lease violations, coordinates supportive intervention plans, and connects tenants to resources that preserve housing stability. The ideal candidate is a licensed clinical professional with supervisory experience and a proven background in homelessness services, mental health, and housing pathways. They should possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional clinical judgment, and a dedication to person-centered, trauma-informed care.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, nursing or other closely related field.
  • At least two years direct experience with underserved populations and at least one year of managerial experience.
  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Support TPP staff with clinical and administrative oversight.
  • Provide real time guidance, consultation and consistent weekly supervision to assigned Housing First Coordinators – including side by side experiential learning in the field.
  • Provide onboarding support and training to new hires related to policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Provide comprehensive assessment and triage of incoming referrals; Assess for program eligibility; Liaise with internal/external partners regarding service needs and risk.
  • Coordinate efforts with partners and other community service providers to maximize resources in collaboration with the respective client.
  • Carry an abbreviated caseload.
