About The Position

This role is responsible for leading employees and optimizing production performance within a department, utilizing expertise to increase efficiency and productivity of operators and equipment while ensuring consistent quality standards. The Team Leader will troubleshoot equipment, assist with changeovers and set-ups, and coordinate daily and monthly preventative maintenance and work schedules. They will set an example for quality and good housekeeping, provide assistance to operators, and maintain accurate records including maintenance reports, incentive, scrap, SPC charts, and time/attendance/vacation scheduling. The role encourages employee continuous improvement through SPS activities and problem-solving tools, requiring an assertive disposition, conflict resolution skills, open communication, and the ability to drive production to meet organizational objectives. The Team Leader must also adhere to and enforce company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices, leading employees through training, coaching, and providing feedback on performance, quality, and safety.

Requirements

  • Advanced production knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of production processes, measurement, inspection, procedures, production planning and control
  • Experience in SAP & Microsoft Office
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results
  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading employees and working as a team to optimize production performance within a department
  • Responsible for using expertise to increase efficiency and productivity of operators and equipment within a department and to ensure consistent quality standards are met
  • Will help troubleshoot equipment and assist with changeover, set-ups, and will coordinate daily and monthly preventative maintenance and work schedules
  • Sets an example for quality and good housekeeping practices in the department and will always be available to provide assistance to operators
  • Will maintain accurate records including maintenance reports, incentive, scrap, SPC charts, as well as time and attendance / vacation scheduling
  • Encourages employee continuous improvement through SPS activities and using general problem-solving tools
  • Must have an assertive disposition, be able to resolve conflict, communicate with others openly, drive production to meet organizational objectives
  • Will adhere to and enforce to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices
  • Must lead employees by training and coaching employees, as well as providing feedback in regard to employee performance, quality, and safety
