About The Position

The Team Lead at LaPetite Academy of Fitchburg promotes children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth and leads classroom management and curriculum implementation. Classroom instruction makes up at least 50% of the weekly schedule. The role includes building relationships with families, supporting children’s achievement and the center’s success, and managing, training, or mentoring new hires and fellow teachers. The Team Lead creates interactive learning experiences for preschool children and assumes Director or Assistant Director duties when they are absent, including opening and closing the school. The role also ensures children receive daily care in accordance with licensing guidelines and company standards.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility.
• Experience leading a classroom and implementing lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Nice To Haves

• College credits toward an Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, or a CDA.
