About The Position

A Team Lead at a child care center promotes the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children. The role leads classroom management and curriculum implementation, with classroom instruction making up at least 50% of the weekly schedule. The Team Lead communicates and builds relationships with families to support children’s achievement and the center’s success.

The position is responsible for or assists with managing, training, and mentoring new hires and fellow Teachers, and creates interactive learning experiences for preschool children. The Team Lead also takes on Director or Assistant Director duties in their absence, including opening and closing the school. The role ensures children receive daily care in accordance with licensing guidelines and company standards.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Nice To Haves

• College credits toward an Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, or a CDA.
