Team Lead - AAPI Dock Team - LinOS
About The Position
The Team Lead for the AAPI Dock Team - LinOS combines people leadership with technical guidance to grow a development team and ensure technical excellence in delivering LinOS features. The role mentors team members, fosters collaboration, and connects business needs with effective technical solutions. It is remote and includes providing technical expertise for production issues and participating in an L3 support rotation. The position works with Product Owners, Architecture teams, and distributed engineering teams to refine backlogs, uphold code quality, coordinate shared solutions, and support team performance and development.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience with proven leadership or mentoring capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to coach, motivate, and inspire team members.
- Experience collaborating with distributed engineering teams across different locations.
- Ability to balance technical contributions with people development.
- At least 3 years of experience working with warehouse management systems.
- Proficiency with Java and the JVM ecosystem.
- Strong database experience, including design, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Full-stack debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD practices.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and develop team members through regular one-on-ones, support career growth, and remove obstacles.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture with strong engagement and morale.
- Promote knowledge sharing through code reviews, pair programming, and technical training.
- Partner with management on team performance, growth opportunities, and organizational needs.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Architecture teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Guide backlog refinement and ensure code quality through reviews and technical standards.
- Provide technical expertise for production issues and participate in the L3 support rotation.
- Facilitate cross-team communication and coordinate with other teams on shared solutions.
