About The Position

The Team Lead for the 2nd shift in a manufacturing facility leads production associates, coordinates daily activities, and maintains quality and safety standards. The role serves as a liaison between management and frontline employees, supporting communication and problem-solving to meet production goals. The Team Lead drives continuous improvement and fosters teamwork and accountability, ensuring production targets are met on time and in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work orders, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and technical skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or higher in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Previous experience leading teams in a unionized environment.
• Familiarity with ERP or manufacturing execution systems (MES).
• Safety or quality management certification, such as OSHA or CQE.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate production team members' activities to meet daily production targets.
• Monitor workflow and quality standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Train, guide, and provide performance feedback to team members to promote skill development and productivity.
• Identify operational issues and collaborate with management on solutions and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports on team performance, safety incidents, and equipment status.
