Team Lead - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Quanex is hiring a Team Lead for its Owatonna, Minnesota location. The Team Lead serves as a change agent within the department, cooperatively developing, communicating, implementing, auditing, and enforcing standard work at every operation. The position leads department personnel on the floor, monitors performance, and serves as the main contact when the Supervisor is absent. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with the ability to flex the schedule and work extended hours as business needs require. The starting hourly range is $21.00 to $24.00, with increased pay opportunities after successful completion of the team lead certification program.
Requirements
- Three to five years of progressive manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities
- Develop, communicate, implement, audit, and enforce standard work at every operation within the department.
- Lead department personnel on the floor and monitor performance levels.
- Serve as the main contact in the Supervisor’s absence.
- Lead and promote a culture of safety first.
- Perform continuous improvement tasks to address red hours reported on HR-by-HR boards.
- Lead startup meetings.
- Participate in GEMBA walks and provide information for them.
- Work independently and deliver superior results.
