About The Position

GE Vernova’s Grid Solutions business develops grid technologies and systems that support power transmission and distribution and the energy transition. The Production Team Leader engages employees in production and coordinates the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between production areas. The role manages an assigned area to meet safety, quality, production, cost-control, and continuous-improvement objectives, while providing technical support and training to employees. The position also supports assembly work as needed and may perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• GED or high school diploma.
• At least three years of machine-operating and/or assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the assigned area to meet safety, quality, production, cost-control, and continuous-improvement objectives.
• Provide technical support and training to employees in assigned production areas.
• Oversee and implement Lean initiatives in assigned areas.
• Deliver on-time completion of products produced in assigned assembly areas.
• Ensure material used in job assembly is charged to the correct job.
• Foster and build strong relationships within the workforce in the assigned area.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
• Oversee product quality inspection before release to the next department.
• Review daily shortage reports and provide the supervisor with feedback on potential upcoming parts shortages.
• Fill in for production as needed in the assembly process.
• Provide cross-functional support and help handle other product coordinators’ tasks.
• Communicate weekly reviews with the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
