Requirements

Post-secondary education in mining, mineral processing, engineering, adult education, trades, or a related field.
7+ years of mining, processing, technical training, or operational leadership experience.
Experience leading training programs, teams, or workforce development initiatives.
Strong understanding of mill operations and processing plant systems.
Knowledge of competency-based training, adult learning principles, and verification of competency processes.
Experience with learning management systems and training compliance reporting.
Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and support Mill Training Advisors, Area Trainers, and contractor trainers.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve mill training and competency programs.
Partner with operational leaders to identify capability gaps and workforce development opportunities.
Oversee onboarding, competency assessments, and verification of competency programs.
Ensure training compliance with site requirements, regulatory obligations, and operational standards.
Drive succession planning and workforce capability initiatives across Crushing, Grinding, Flotation, Dewatering, and Control Room Operations.
Monitor training performance, compliance reporting, and learning management systems.
