About The Position

The Team Lead Sterile Processing Complex Care supports the trauma, transplant, neurosurgery, and cardiovascular surgery service lines. Within the sterile processing area, this position serves as team leader and manages instruments and their processing within Surgical Services and CVOR, with expanded service to the entire hospital and SLPS. The role manages the sterile processing team’s daily workflow and schedule and mentors and coaches team members. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

• Two years of applicable experience preferred.
• Certification as a Registered Central Service Technician from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the trauma, transplant, neurosurgery, and cardiovascular surgery service lines.
• Serve as the team leader within the sterile processing area.
• Manage instruments and instrument processing within Surgical Services and CVOR, with expanded service to the entire hospital and SLPS.
• Manage the sterile processing team's daily workflow and schedule.
• Mentor and coach team members.
• Supervise SPD for the assigned shift.
