About The Position

Eaton’s EPG CHD ALP Airport Lighting Products division is currently seeking a Team Lead, Sign Department. This role supports daily production operations with a strong focus on assembly, finish quality, safety, and team leadership. The Team Lead will guide a group of production employees through hands-on work while ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety expectations are consistently met. This position is ideal for an experienced manufacturing or assembly professional who enjoys leading on the floor, coaching others, and maintaining high standards for both assembled and finished products. Experience with painting or powder coating is preferred, as surface finish and appearance are critical to our airport lighting and signage products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • 3–5 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and production paperwork
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead by example
  • Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment required and comply with all Safety policies
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to assemble, disassemble, and test all sub-assemblies
  • Must be able to read blueprints, wiring diagrams and other Production paperwork
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and train others accordingly
  • Must be able to identify that the components used meet quality standards
  • Ability to complete required paperwork
  • Must be able to work overtime and be flexible when required
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to learn and perform a variety of tasks

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of manufacturing or assembly experience
  • Experience as a team lead, lead operator, or informal floor leader
  • Hands-on experience with industrial painting and/or powder coating processes
  • Attention to cosmetic quality and finish requirements
  • Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support daily assembly and production activities in the Sign Department
  • Assign work, communicate priorities, and monitor workflow to meet production targets
  • Train and coach team members on standard work, safety, and quality expectations
  • Ensure assembled products meet quality and cosmetic finish standards
  • Support and troubleshoot painting and/or powder coating operations as needed
  • Promote and enforce all safety rules, policies, and PPE requirements
  • Complete production paperwork and enter data into SAP accurately
  • Coordinate material flow, inventory accuracy, and work order transactions
  • Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards in the work area
  • Support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing efforts
