About The Position
Uptown Cheapskate is seeking friendly, highly motivated individuals to join their crew as Fashion Consultants. Uptown Cheapskate is an exciting retail store concept that sells quality clothing brands at affordable prices. Every month, franchise stores buy and resell thousands of gently used clothing items at a fraction of their original prices. The stores aim to feel more like a boutique than a thrift shop, making second-hand shopping comfortable for more people. Uptown Cheapskate has a passion for sustainable fashion, dedicated to reducing the fashion industry's environmental impact. Since 2015, Uptown Cheapskate has partnered with Kid to Kid and buildOn to raise money for schools in developing countries, having funded 18 schools to date.
Requirements
- At least 30 hours of availability per week.
- Retail experience.
- Fashion knowledge.
- Love for problem-solving and helping people.

Responsibilities
- Accurately appraising and buying product using buying software and fashion knowledge.
- Keeping the team on track.
- Ringing and managing tills.
- Closing and opening the store.
- Taking the lead in buying incoming product.
