About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Account Manager role is to sell plastic resins, support existing accounts, and continuously expand the customer base. This role requires achieving profitable revenue growth, including robust new business development, and meeting stated gross margin targets. The Account Manager will approach the sales process with a high degree of professionalism and effectiveness by utilizing customer-centric selling skills, prospecting, developing a robust target funnel, and establishing, tracking, and closing new business targets consistent with long-term growth objectives. The role also involves developing, executing, and managing sales plans, sales budgets, and expense budgets. Collaboration with channel partners to close business based on customer purchasing requirements is essential, as is maintaining CRM data and sales statistics. Working with Technical and Customer Service teams to ensure customer requirements and satisfaction is met is also a key function. The ability to interact effectively at all levels of the customer and with all of the customer's functional groups is required.

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Word & Excel and Outlook.
  • Three years of exposure in B2B, face to face sales, preferably in industrial or commodity sales.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain CRM data and sales statistics as required.
  • Work with Technical and Customer Service team to ensure customer requirements and satisfaction is met.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively at all levels of the customer and with all of the customers functional groups.
