About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Account Manager role is to sell plastic resins, support existing accounts, and continuously expand the customer base. This role is focused on achieving profitable revenue growth, including robust new business development and meeting stated gross margin targets as a percentage of sales. The Account Manager will approach the sales process with a high degree of professionalism and effectiveness by successfully utilizing customer-centric selling skills. This includes prospecting and making new account calls, developing a robust target funnel, and establishing, tracking, and closing new business targets consistent with long-term growth objectives. The role also involves developing, executing, and managing sales plans, sales budgets, and expense budgets. The Account Manager will work both directly and cooperatively with channel partners to close business based on customer's purchasing requirements. Maintaining accurate CRM data and sales statistics is essential. Collaboration with Technical and Customer Service teams is required to ensure customer requirements and satisfaction are met. A proven ability to interact effectively at all levels of the customer and with all of the customer's functional groups is necessary.

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Word & Excel and Outlook.
  • Three years of exposure in B2B, face to face sales, preferably in industrial or commodity sales.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required.
