About The Position

As the Recruiting Coordination Lead, you will help scale Astranis’s recruiting function by building the tools, processes, service levels, and metrics needed to make scheduling, interview logistics, and candidate experience reliable as hiring volume grows. You will oversee Recruiting Coordination and own Early Careers hiring, bringing structure to a hiring-manager-led program and developing university partnerships. The role reports directly to the Head of Talent and is part of the Recruiting leadership team.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in recruiting coordination, recruiting operations, or an adjacent talent operations role, including 1–2 or more years directly managing a team of coordinators.
  • Demonstrated experience building or maturing coordination processes, including SOPs, SLAs, templates, or tooling, with measurable results.
  • Administrator-level proficiency with an applicant tracking system and a scheduling platform, such as Greenhouse and ModernLoop or equivalents.
  • Experience owning or substantially contributing to a university or Early Careers program, including building external partnerships.
  • Comfort defining metrics, reporting them to leadership, and using them to drive process changes.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with a track record of managing multiple priorities and calmly handling scheduling escalations under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States, or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), to comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience scaling recruiting coordination during rapid hiring growth, ideally at a hardware, aerospace, or deep-tech company with high-volume onsite interview loops.
  • Experience in People Operations, HR operations, or a broader People team.
  • Experience designing interviewer training or candidate experience programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, hire, and retain the recruiting coordination team; establish role expectations, a career ladder, and a coverage model for PTO and hiring-volume spikes.
  • Design and document the end-to-end coordination process, including intake, scheduling, interview logistics, onsite and virtual interview loops, debriefs, and offer logistics; publish stage-specific SOPs and SLAs and ensure the team meets them.
  • Own and administer the scheduling and applicant tracking system stack, including Greenhouse, ModernLoop, and adjacent tools.
  • Own Early Careers hiring for interns and new graduates, including the hiring plan, timeline, requisition process, and an operating model that keeps hiring managers in the lead while maintaining consistency.
  • Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers to set interviewer capacity, calibrate interviewer pools, and remove friction throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Improve the candidate experience from first contact to offer, including communication standards, onsite experience, and escalation paths.
  • Develop onboarding and training for new coordinators to enable them to ramp up in weeks rather than quarters.
  • Plan recruiting coordination capacity against the hiring forecast and make the case for additional headcount or tooling when needed.
