About The Position

The Operational Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of warehouse employees to achieve goals and maintain high standards of quality. This role will require a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication to drive team success. Hours are Mon-Thurs 7am to 4pm and Friday 7am to 11am.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or a combination of experience and education required.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities required.
  • Ability to become certified on powered industrial equipment.

  • 3-5 years in a distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Leadership on employee scheduling, labor efficiency, work instructions, and throughput.
  • Collaborate with other area leads and supervisors to facilitate cross-training opportunities; develop employee knowledge in multiple skill sets.
  • Implement work instructions to ensure employee knowledge and accuracy is up to date.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, customer service, and production to monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for all parts.
  • Effectively communicate maintenance issues and repair and replace consumables as needed.
  • Serve as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact and primary support resource for employees, functioning as the first line of defense in addressing and resolving various issues they may encounter.
  • Perform other related or non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training.
