This role utilizes a wide array of knowledge, technical skills, and critical thinking abilities to facilitate job functions during surgical procedures, as well as preoperative and postoperative equipment management. The Team Lead guides day-to-day operational support to the account and serves as the point person for the team. The Area of Impact involves effectively partnering with key stakeholders of the account, cross-divisional sales teams, and cross-functional teams to drive account productivity and satisfaction. Individual work has an impact on the team and other groups. The role includes leading Tier 1 huddles and actively participating in, and as needed, leading hospital huddles. The Team Lead directs and guides the day-to-day function of the team to ensure OR efficiency and drive customer satisfaction, and manages charge sheets and billing for the account. Business Expertise requires a solid understanding of critical metrics and their impact on the business and customer relationship, directly applying feedback and metrics to propose process improvements that drive customer satisfaction and elevate Stryker’s impact on the account. Functional Knowledge includes a solid foundation of clinical expertise that can be shared with a wide array of audiences, providing in-service training at the request of the customer. The role supports and guides Sr. Specialists in identifying and creating Kaizen sheets to drive continuous improvement. The Team Lead is responsible for onboarding new employees, has functional knowledge of SPD & OR, and a significant understanding of surgeon preference. They manage and coordinate Stryker and customer onboarding and compliance requirements for the team, and have a good understanding of Joint Commission requirements and managing those for the team and account. Interpersonal Skills involve information exchange requiring tact and diplomacy, consistently facilitating and leading team-building activities, and actively participating. Proactive interaction with cross-divisional partners and various levels of management in the hospital and within OnSite is expected. Leadership involves allocating work as a team leader, potentially checking on quality/completion, and attending/participating in CE webinars. The Team Lead actively partners with the Associate Supervisor, Supervisor, OA, and Training team to onboard new hires, serves as a mentor to newer specialists, and assists with writing and delivering corrective actions and common annual reviews. They drive onboarding for new hires, serve as a resource for the team, and drive day-to-day engagement, performance, and activities. The role also leads Program Management activities within the account. The Nature of Impact is direct, ensuring the quality of tasks, services, and information provided by self and others, and serving as the main point of contact for the team account. Proactive communication of specific account information to appropriate stakeholders is essential. Problem Solving involves actively providing ideas to refine tools or processes, providing implementation and coverage support if/when practical, and actively partnering with fellow Team Leads across the nation to drive standardization and continuous improvement across regional lines.
