About The Position

The Ocean Import Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the import of goods via ocean transport. This position manages a team of import professionals and ensures that import processes are executed in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is required.
At least 5 years of experience in ocean export operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Familiarity with export regulations, customs clearance procedures, and industry best practices.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Proficient in using computer software programs related to logistics and supply chain management.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Fluency in English is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with logistics software and systems is required

Nice To Haves

Experience with leading ocean cargo logistics software and systems
Familiarity with ocean freight regulations, customs requirements, and import controls
Knowledge of shipping routes and schedules
Knowledge of additional languages is a plus

Responsibilities

Develop and implement training programs for the import team
