About The Position

HEABC is seeking a Team Lead, Nurse Navigation to provide leadership and oversight of program operations, partner engagement, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. This role involves supervising staff, fostering a high-performance and inclusive work environment, building collaborative relationships with health system partners, managing daily operations and program risks, and supporting provincial recruitment and retention efforts. The Team Lead will contribute to overall program effectiveness through strategic planning, project leadership, and service excellence. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid model and live within commuting distance of the Vancouver office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ recent related experience, including experience supervising, leading, coaching and mentoring staff, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and other database software, including pivot tables, graphing, formulas, creating dashboards and reports, experience working with large data sets.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and proven ability to be sensitive to context.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute projects with stringent timelines.
  • Ability to handle vast demands and rapid change.
  • Ability to organize workload, understand and apply relevant Acts and Regulations, deal with conflict, assess and establish priorities, and take action.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with key internal and external partners including the Ministry of Health, health authority representatives, regulatory bodies, educational institutions, professional associations, federal agencies, community representatives, nurse candidates and other recruitment bodies.
  • Provides direct supervision and support to designated staff, including task prioritization, performance feedback, evaluations, and participation in recruitment, development, and, where necessary, disciplinary actions. Fosters a positive, trust-based team culture.
  • Oversees day-to-day program operations and the implementation of annual workplans, ensuring effective coordination of activities, balanced workloads, and adequate staffing coverage, while contributing to continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Leads assigned projects, contributing to project planning, partner engagement, and implementation.
  • Provides expert guidance regarding program policies and procedures, leveraging specialized knowledge of health sector recruitment. Collaborate with the Manager to create and revise policies and advises internal teams and external partners to support consistent, informed decision-making.
