About The Position

ProAmpac is hiring a Team Lead - Material Handling for its Westfield, Massachusetts facility. At the direction of the Warehouse Manager, this position provides daily direction to Plant Warehouse Associates on tasks and workflow and helps ensure shift coverage for lunch schedules and vacations. The role supports warehouse and production operations across both plants, including keeping the warehouse clean and organized, supplying production machines with raw materials and work-in-process, and handling material transfers and paperwork. It also involves receiving raw materials, shipping finished goods, loading and unloading trucks, sorting and recycling scrap, and transporting materials between plant locations using a company-owned or leased truck. Other housekeeping or manufacturing-related duties may be assigned by Management. The posting advertises a Monday-through-Friday night schedule of 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.; however, shift coverage may include nights and weekends and vary between 8 and 12 hours per shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good math and reading skills.

• Valid state-issued driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction to Plant Warehouse Associates regarding tasks and workflow, under the direction of the Warehouse Manager.
• Ensure shift coverage for lunch schedules and vacations for Plant Warehouse Associates, material handlers, and forklift drivers, including nights and weekends.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized in both plants.
• Monitor production machines and supply raw materials and work-in-process as needed, using clamp and/or fork trucks.
• Use handheld scanners and desktop computers to maintain machine schedules, transfer material, and process paperwork.
• Perform other housekeeping or manufacturing-related functions as required by Management.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
• Receive raw materials using clamp and/or fork trucks.
• Ship finished goods using clamp and/or fork trucks.
• Remove, sort, and recycle scrap waste.
• Transport materials between plant locations using a company-owned or leased truck.
