About The Position
The Gund Company has an immediate opening for a full-time 1st Shift Manufacturing Team Lead to join our team! This role is crucial in supporting production operations, ensuring parts are fabricated to meet work order specifications and customer requirements. The Team Lead will operate and set up various CNC and non-CNC production machinery, conduct manual assembly tasks, and adhere to safety and quality standards. The Gund Company is a leader in engineered material solutions, specializing in customized electrical insulation products, with 12 global facilities.
Requirements
- Intermediate math skills & aptitude
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand drawing and blueprints
- Ability to use measuring instruments accurately and effectively
- Accustomed to being flexible when changes occur.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform manual tasks as required.
Responsibilities
- Be a technical resource for operators.
- Train and develop less experienced operators with the help of the Value Stream Manager (VSM).
- Complete work order paperwork and maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Operate machines like saws, manual mills, lathes, presses, routers, and more.
- Conduct in-process inspections according to standard procedures.
