About The Position
The Ground Guys of McKinney and Celina are seeking a Landscaping Maintenance Team Lead to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to advance their career in lawn care and landscaping, with opportunities for growth into higher-level positions as the company expands. The company emphasizes exceptional customer service and a professional approach to residential and commercial lawn care and landscaping. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing field operations, ensuring quality control, maintaining equipment, organizing team schedules and routes, and providing support and training to crew members. Success in this role is measured by attendance, profitability of jobs, quality of work, crew and customer retention, and effective use of company software and processes.
Requirements
- Prior experience in the landscaping, lawn service, or similar service industries.
- Proficiency in operating and performing preventative maintenance on mowers, trimmers, tractors, etc.
- Willingness to complete training for required certifications and licenses within 6 months, if required.
- Clean driving history.
- Experience driving a trailer.

Responsibilities
- Manage field operations, including walking job sites, checking for quality control, and ensuring equipment maintenance.
- Organize team activities by structuring routes, managing employee schedules, and keeping crew members on task.
- Provide support to the team by resolving staff issues and ensuring necessary training is provided.
- Ensure all tasks are completed and prepared for the following day.
