About The Position

Manages a team of individuals that are responsible for accurate and timely claims submission. Assists with monitoring work queues and identifying any issues within the epic system by having a thorough understanding of the edits that are worked by the Physician Billing team.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree
• 2 years In the healthcare field.
• Understanding of the pre and post-adjudication of claims processing in a physician practice or equivalent operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitors accurate and timely claims paper and electronic claim submission to maximize claim submission delays.
• Ensures accurate review and timely resolution of eligibility, claim, and payer edits.
• Builds a cohesive team that that works well together to ensure the work of the team is accomplished.
• Drives efficiencies in process and workflow to maximize the team's ability to submit clean claims to the payer.
• Prioritizes work within Physician Billing and delegates to staff members
• Provides the training necessary to ensure the physician billers are knowledgeable in the edits they are responsible for.
