About The Position

This role involves supporting, training, and certifying newly hired LTOs, operating an industrial powered lift truck safely and efficiently, and acting as a supervisor in the absence of the Shift Supervisor. The Lead will also inventory materials, supply workers with needed materials, and assist Supervisors and management in planning, assigning, and directing work. Additionally, the role includes assisting LTOs with daily issues, supporting other Leads and Supervisors in policy and procedure adherence, and following Good Manufacturing Practices. Safety is paramount, requiring observation and assistance in enforcing all company safety rules. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments.
Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.).
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies.

Responsibilities

Supports, trains and certifies newly hired LTOs
Operates industrial powered lift truck in a safe and efficient manner
In the absence of the Shift Supervisor the Lead will act as Supervisor as needed
Inventories materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed
Assists Supervisors and management of the facility in planning, assigning and directing work
Assist LTO's with daily issues
Assist other Leads and Supervisors with ensuring that policies, procedures, and best practices are being followed
Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned.
