About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Team Lead Assembler to join the Fuse Team working in North Charleston, South Carolina on 2nd shift! The Team Lead will be performing tasks in the following areas; pre-shift planning, crew meetings, team status updates, labor loss, production control, training, process improvement and Lean/BPS (Boeing Production System). The candidate must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job.

Requirements

• Must be able to work 2nd Shift.
• 1+ years of experience with the operations process involving the 787 airplane program.
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing.
• Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years 'of experience in advising and influencing others to meet quality and safety requirements or resolve technical or operational problems
• 3+ years of experience using Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
• Builds effective resource plans.
• Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader.
• Updates and communicates BPS metrics.
• Identifies KPI improvement actions.
• Assigns daily work.
• Leads team in daily safety check-in.
• Monitors and reports daily progress to plan.
• Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk.
• Documents and communicates shift turnover.
• Establishes overtime requirements and staffing.
• Responsible for monitor and control of 5S.
• Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues.
• Creates standardized work instructions.
• Support teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training.
• Responsible for BPS process improvements.
• Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks.
