About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking to fill Level C, Team Lead Assemblers for Mid Body Operations, Cell 20 -Electrical and Systems, 88-20 building, North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift; 2nd shift and 3rd shift Cell 20 is made up of Electrical and Systems: ICS installs and Hydraulics A-Deck, B-Deck, Feederline & Wire Family group assemblies. A-Deck: Pre-routing, perm-routing, MMHU; Assist with hat tool and cradle loads; install spanner bars and secondary structures. B-Deck: Pre-routing, perm-routing, MMHU, install spanner bars, cargo doors, AFT cage installs, AFT Keel install, ECS-NGS package Feederliner: Pre-routing, perm-routing, MMHU, Cradle loads, install spanner bars and secondary structures. Wire Family: Pre-routing, perm-routing, provisions Position Responsibilities: Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools. Build effective resource plans. Identifies and communicates risks to the First Line Leader. Updates and communicates BPS metrics. Identifies KPI improvement actions. Assigns daily work. Leads team in daily safety check-in. Monitors and reports daily progress to plan. Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk. Documents and communications shift turnover. Establishes overtime requirements and staffing. Monitor and control of 5S. Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues. Create standardized work instructions. Support teammates to improve their job performance, including identifying training. Responsible for BPS process improvements, will lead Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks. Exhibits Boeing Behaviors Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options. This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Requirements

  • 1 years’ experience with operations process involving the 787 Airplane Program.
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • 1+ years of electrical experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in Velocity and REDARS and navigating engineering documents.
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
  • The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements.
  • To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.
