The Team Coordinator - Film Room is a member of the care service team and acts as a professional liaison for patients and families, care providers, as well as other Fred Hutch departments. The role uses critical thinking skills to facilitate and operationalize complex scheduling requests through heavy use of multiple computer systems. This is a per diem role at our South Lake Union location. The operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This role will have the opportunity to work partially at our campus and remotely.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • One year of customer service experience.
  • Ability to work independently, organizing, and prioritizing concurrent responsibilities and demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS)
  • Previous medical office/hospital experience coordinating physician appointments and patient services preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Bilingual skills
  • Prior experience utilizing an electronic medical record system and/or an automated scheduling system

Responsibilities

  • Enters outside patient imaging into electronic patient record.
  • Works closely with Radiologists, oncologists from other departments and staff to identify needs, answer questions, resolve problems, provide information and follow up.
  • Communicates with providers, technologists, and nurses regarding patient imaging needs, and additional requests.
  • Notifies appropriate parties as needed.
  • Answers phones and triages calls from other departments.
  • Calls patients and outside facilities as needed.
  • Requests outside prior imaging and reports for comparison for the Radiologist.
  • De-identifies patient imaging to be submitted for research studies.
  • Sends requested electronic patient images to outside facilities.
  • Supports the overall function of the Medical Imaging department, and may be required to take on additional duties such as data collection, special projects, etc.
