About The Position

At BC Place, a division of BC Pavilion Corporation (PavCo), we work to create unforgettable moments, world-class experiences and stronger connections to community, industry and culture. As Western Canada's leading venue for live events, we host a year-round schedule of sporting events, concerts, consumer shows and more each year while also supporting the community through an array of ongoing partnerships and initiatives. We are looking for additional members to join the Team Experience Deployment Team! This role offers longer shifts than a regular Event Host, extra shifts that are not event based (like inventory, orientation training), opportunities to meet and interact with other departments, additional training, and the chance to be a part of the Team Experience Hub.

Requirements

  • Minimum one-year event experience at BC Place.
  • Demonstrated reliable attendance record.
  • Ability to work flexible and varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Customer focused by providing service excellence to our guests & clients.
  • Establishes and maintains effective and harmonious working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and other employees from all levels, including contractors, at BC Place.
  • Proven ability to work well with a team and to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication, both verbal and written form.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with an ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills and accuracy when entering data into the system.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service excellence to BC Place employees, guests, and the general public.
  • Follow BC Place policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with the distribution of radios, keys, etc. prior to the deployment of staff, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Process returns of aforementioned items, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training programs as required.
  • Inform Supervisor of any aforementioned items or challenges that may come up during the shift.
  • Perform other duties as required.
