About The Position

CarePartners is looking for Team Assistants to ensure effective customer service and communication between patients, families, and staff. Our Team Assistants ensure the scheduling of our Nurses' meets service delivery standards and administrative functions related to client services are performed in a timely manner. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in helping, coordinating schedules, and has a strong customer service background. We have immediate Full-Time and Part-Time openings in the St. Catharine's office. The hours of work are inclusive of weekdays, early mornings, evenings and weekends, with shifts including every other weekend. There is an opportunity to pick up additional shifts. This position will require 4-6 weeks of full time training, regardless of being hired for full time or part time. This position requires in office expectations in our St. Catharine's office.

Requirements

  • A strong desire and commitment to making a difference in the lives of their patients
  • One (1) year of job-related experience (such as administrative or customer service) is required
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office, with proven skills in Word and Excel
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to learn new systems and databases
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends are required
  • A clear background check

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education is preferred
  • Experience working within a unionized environment and the health care field an asset

Responsibilities

  • Be the bridge between patients/caregivers, their families, team supervisors, funders, finance and other CarePartners employees
  • Receive routine referral/intake information from funders and private-pay clients
  • Develop and coordinate service schedules while considering relevant factors
  • Inform workers of new assignments and changes to their schedules in accordance with the collective agreement
  • Enter relevant information into the automated information system/database
  • Produce schedules and reports on a regular basis, and on request of the Supervisor
  • Receive and manage inbound telephone calls and email inquiries related to service
  • Perform other administrative duties
  • Other duties as required
