This position is for Mercer DPS students only. The Teaching/Research Assistant role involves providing approximately 13 hours per week (or 650 hours per year) to assist the Department and College. Responsibilities can include teaching laboratories or discussion sessions, delivering limited didactic lectures, assisting professors with classroom activities (grading, recording, proctoring, preparing materials), or supporting departmental needs like animal care, analytical instrumentation, or equipment maintenance. As a Research Assistant, you will provide laboratory support for projects, including planning studies, organizing supplies, conducting Franz cell skin transport studies, running assays for drug or cosmetic molecules, data analysis, and writing reports. Students may work up to 20 hours per week, with employment length dependent on need, funding, and continued good academic standing.
