About The Position

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta invites applications for a full-time Teaching Professor for a 3-year term, at the assistant lecturer rank, in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the School of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, with the possibility of renewal. The Faculty of Engineering provides state-of-the-art instructional and research facilities and a collaborative community dedicated to delivering an exceptional student experience. The successful candidate will contribute to the faculty’s teaching mission by delivering high-quality undergraduate instruction, advancing the field of engineering education and supporting student learning within engineering programs. Work will primarily take place at the North Campus, Edmonton.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Instructing undergraduate and graduate Mining Engineering courses throughout the academic year.
• Working with other faculty members to improve course content, resources, and delivery.
• Delivery of undergraduate and graduate courses in other specialties will be considered based on Department need and candidate experience.
