About The Position

Xavier University invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Biology to begin in Fall 2026. The individual must hold at least a M.S. degree in an area of the biological sciences, with experience relevant to anatomy and physiology strongly preferred. This is not a remote position. Requirements

  • Must hold at least a M.S. degree in an area of the biological sciences
  • Experience relevant to anatomy and physiology strongly preferred
  • Prior experience teaching college student labs, especially anatomy and physiology, is preferred
  • Applicants should submit an application letter, curriculum vitae and a statement of teaching philosophy that incorporates how you can support student belonging.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching non-science majors’ and allied health majors’ lectures and labs (e.g., Human Biology, Anatomy and Physiology)
  • Possibly some majors labs (e.g., Human Physiology, Genetics)
  • Service to the department including preparation of one multi-section lab per term
  • Preparation of multi-section labs entails the planning and maintenance of course content, coordination with other faculty teaching the corequisite lecture and other sections of the lab, and working with the department lab manager to ensure that materials are ordered and set up correctly.
