Prospective biology faculty whose work touches on maternal and child health, health disparities, diversifying STEM/healthcare, public health, and environmental justice are especially encouraged to apply. Bennett College offers the biology major/minor and chemistry minor and is launching majors in public health and health sciences in fall 2026. The Assistant Professor of Biology position is a full-time non-tenure-track faculty position. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach courses and the associated labs in at least three of the following areas: general biology, anatomy and physiology, developmental biology, and molecular biology. The teaching load is 12 hours per semester, typically three four-credit courses. Candidates should have teaching and mentoring experience at the post-secondary level; ideal candidates will also have peer-reviewed publications. Candidates should have a record of success in securing outside funding or be able to demonstrate the potential to do so. Ph.D.in biology or a related field is required; doctoral degree should be completed by starting date or within one semester following appointment.
