The Teaching Lab Manager manages the primary teaching labs for the Human Physiology Department. This role utilizes specialized expertise and technical skills in anatomy and physiology to function as a subject matter expert, facilitating undergraduate labs for approximately 1200 undergraduate majors. The position holds primary responsibility and broad authority for all aspects of the unit's instructional lab preparation, including health, safety, equipment, and supply needs for associated classes. This role assists in supervising and supporting undergraduate and graduate student teaching assistants, and is responsible for their preparation and training, maintaining lab supplies and equipment, and updating lab materials and content. The position reports to the Department Head for Human Physiology but primarily works with Instructors of Record (IOR) under minimal supervision.
