About The Position
The Department of Geological Sciences at CSU Fullerton is establishing a Teaching Associate Pool to draw upon as necessary. This pool is for current and prospective CSUF graduate students in the Geological Sciences department to teach introductory geological sciences labs and laboratory sections of upper-division majors' classes. Appointments from this pool are temporary, often made just prior to the start of an academic term, and applicants may be offered employment on very short notice.
Requirements
- Must be a currently enrolled or prospective graduate student in the Geology department.
- A BA or BS degree in Geology, Earth Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Willingness to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
Responsibilities
- Teach Intro to Geological Sciences Lab
- Teach Laboratory sections of upper division majors’ classes, as needed.
